The Rose Inn, Stroud originally opened its doors to the public as a public house in 1822. It was known as Stroud Ales and was owned by Stroud Brewery. The pub was extended into the adjoining cottages in the 1950’s.
The Rose is renowned for its community spirit and a place that sports fanatics can come and watch their favourite players in action on the many TV screens dotted around the pub. As one of the only pubs locally to have Sky Sports we show all the live action.
The Rose Inn has recently undergone a major refurbishment, both inside and out. What many people don’t know is that there is a fabulous large family friendly beer garden to the rear of the property, it’s a real sun trap away from the bustle of the main road with an area specifically for children to enjoy themselves....and adults if they behave!
Over the past year the new landlady, Jacqui Brading, has been developing the pub into a vibrant place to go, with many events and entertainments scheduled throughout the year. One of the many things that The Rose Inn is involved with is the promotion of local, young, up and coming performers with two very successful events already hosted and more to follow. The Rose Inn continues to offer its customers regular weekend entertainment including helping charities raise funds for their causes.
We are now offering a new menu to customers with a range of good home cooked food. We are also offering more real Ales from our already extensive range of beers, lagers, wines and spirits for which we have been awarded the Cask Marque for the condition and dispensing of fine Ales.
We are open every day from 12, serving food from 12 – 2.30pm and 5 – 9pm.
